Two fees at the token level
Every Pons token carries two independent fee rates set at launch: curveFeeBps, taken on every trade against the bonding curve, and creatorTaxBps, routed to that token's creator fee recipient. These aren't bundled into one number anywhere in the integration - reading a token's real configuration means reading both fields separately.
The curve fee itself isn't one flat destination
Underneath the curve fee sits a fee policy with several further splits: a protocol fee share, a buyback-burn share, and a hook fee share, each expressed as its own basis-points value, plus a protocol fee recipient address and a maximum internal price-impact guard. This policy is read live from the hook contract rather than assumed, since it's configurable independently of any individual token's launch parameters.
Buyback is optional, per token
Whether a token's fees fund an active buyback is a boolean set at launch time (buybackEnabled), not something every Pons token does automatically. A token can have creator tax and curve fee active with buyback switched off, or with it on - checking a specific token's actual configuration rather than assuming a site-wide default is the only way to know which applies.
FAQ
- Is the curve fee the same for every Pons token? No - curveFeeBps is set per launch config, so different configs can carry different curve fees.
- Where does the creator tax actually go? To the creatorFeeRecipient address set at launch, held in an escrow contract until claimed - not sent directly on every trade.
- Does every Pons token have buyback enabled? No - it's an opt-in flag (buybackEnabled) set per token at launch, not a universal feature.
